Overview

Scorpia by Anthony Horiwitz is about a 14 teen year old that has stopped madmen many times before in his life after the death of his uncle. He learned his uncle was working for MI6 and was killed on one of his missions for MI6. MI6 in the past was usually the one that forced him into each mission time after time, but this time he got caught up in trouble himself. Alex was trying to find something called Scorpia but he has no idea what it is. He knows that it is located in Vinice Italy, but not where in Vinice. He started exploring and came upon a big castle and found a way to sneak inside he then is captured and is thrown into a cellar to drown later when the tide rises. Alex finds a way out, and gets himself back to his hotel where he gets a phone call from Scorpia, they apologize about how they mistreated him and how they threw him to drown. The lady that called him was named Mrs. Rothman, she invited him to dinner and Alex accepts. When he is at the dinner with Mrs. Rothman she tells him all about the terrorist organization that she is involved with and Alex's fathers role involved with it. Alex joins with her hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father. He is sent to London where he is captured by MI6 when they tell him the truth about his Dad. They also explain a plot Scorpia is planning, something that is too horrible to imagine. They need Alex's help to stop them because Scorpia still trusts him, Alex finds them and alerts MI6 in time to stop them. Alex saved the world once again.

Rating

I would rate this book a 9 out of ten because it never slows down and the action never stops. Sometimes it is just to much happening at one time so I couldn't keep track of whats happenig, thats why it lost a point.
Luke Page rates this book an 8.5 because he thought it was really exciting but a little boring at some parts.
